Guests #30 and #42, your orders are ready.

Double review! One is extremely late and the other is fairly late! Hooray for life!

#30
Rating: 8.35/10

Burger - Double-Single is my go to order now. Cheese was a bit lopsided and I ended up with quite a bit of bun at the end of the burger. Otherwise it was quite good and nothing else really stood out.

Taste - 1.7 (out of 2)
Texture - 1.8 (out of 2)
Presentation - .7 (out of 1)

Fries - These fries had some of the best texture I've had in a long time. Although the ultra crispness was accompanied by a bit of dryness. They weren't as flavorful as I would have liked though.

Taste - 1.4 (out of 2)
Texture - 1.75 (out of 2)

Diet Coke - Can't really remember either soda (which probably means they weren't bad), so both will get a 1 by default.

1 (out of 1)

Interesting note would be that it was crazy windy, which is why I am holding the receipt in the picture. After going to In-N-Out basically once a week for 4+ years, I'm running out of interesting things.

Rating: 9/10

Burger - Same as the previous week but mustard fried this time. Although I don't think I really could taste the mustard fried on this burger, I still feel it was slightly tastier than the previous week's burger. Presentation was mostly good and texture was as it should be.

Taste - 1.8 (out of 2)
Texture - 1.8 (out of 2)
Presentation - .9 (out of 1)

Fries - Better than the previous weeks fries although very similar. I think they tasted slightly better and the texture was just a little less crisp/dry which was good. They weren't soggy by any means, but they weren't as close to well done as the previous meal.

Taste - 1.6 (out of 2)
Texture - 1.9 (out of 2)

Diet Coke - Can't really remember either soda (which probably means they weren't bad), so both will get a 1 by default.

1 (out of 1)

This was a crazy clear sky and the sun was beating down on the table. I was squinting often and couldn't really rest my hands/arms on the table as it was too hot. I honestly thing the heat caused me to enjoy the meal slightly less. Also, this was easily the slowest I've ever seen this In-N-Out during lunch time. More than half of the tables were available at the time of ordering. That's nearly unheard of. Without looking back at previous entries, I think this might be the highest scoring meal since switching to the In-N-Out specific grading system.

Rating:  7.4/10

Burger - The burger, which I'm still going with the Double-Single these days, was pretty good. Removed one of the tomato slices like usual. It could have had more lettuce...maybe I should go back to getting extra lettuce.

Taste - 1.6 (out of 2)
Texture - 1.7 (out of 2)
Presentation - .7 (out of 1)

Fries - Unfortunately, even with salt, these were some of the most bland In-N-Out french fries I've ever had. Their texture was mostly good so it's a real shame the taste didn't match the standards they've set for themselves.

Taste - 1.2 (out of 2)
Texture - 1.9 (out of 2)

Diet Coke - One of the rare cases where I had issue with the soda. Seemed like the carbonated water to syrup ratio was off.

.4 (out of 1)

All in all it was one of the lower quality overall meals at In-N-Out. On the other hand I had a great day out with the two most beautiful ladies in my life, my wife and daughter. So maybe it was one of the best meals?

Guest #23, your order is ready.

Quickly writing this so I don't forget details as it's already been like 5 days.

Burger - tomato was bad, everything else good but nothing stood out to make it great

Fries- not bad but similar to burger there wasn't anything that made me think "wow that was good"

Drink - a bit too carbonated

EDIT: I ended up being too busy with life (work, family, home) to get around to fleshing out this review. I'll try not to let it happen again.

Burger - Delicious. I'd say the only downside to the whole burger was the texture, with the bun being a bit hard in places. And two tomatoes, but that's a simple fix! Nothing wrong with the way it looked either. Really solid burger.

Taste - 1.95 (out of 2)
Texture - 1.6 (out of 2)
Presentation - 1 (out of 1)

Fries - Unfortunately the worst part of getting an order to go is that the fries tend to get cold and soggy/limp fairly quick. I've come up with a relatively good method of helping to prevent this which is leaving the bag partially open to steam doesn't get stuck in there, but even with that the texture still ends up leaving something to be desired. Taste wise these fries were not really affected by the texture, so that's good.

Taste - 1.75 (out of 2)
Texture - 1.25 (out of 2)

Diet Coke - 1 (out of 1)

By default the Diet Coke gets a perfect score since I actually had a can of coke back at work. I really love the way this picture turned out. If you couldn't tell it's inside the bag. Makes me think of a glamour shot or something. I think this also might be the first to go order with a new number, so it's good to know new things can still happen three years after starting this project.

Guest #49, your order is ready.

Overall rating: 8.6/10

This review was originally written in the middle of the night while I was holding my baby.

Burger - Bun was to toasted in some spots but lettuce was good texture and amount. Taste was great but not perfect due to bun. Was lopsided with more meat and cheese on the visible side.

Taste - 1.6 (out of 2)
Texture - 1.35 (out of 2)
Presentation - .7 (out of 1)

Fries - Almost perfect. Only a few limp fries keep this from being a prefect score. Prefect crispness without being too dry. Looked great too. Not too salty, just right.

Taste - 2 (out of 2)
Texture - 1.95 (out of 2)

Diet Coke - 1 (out of 1)

It was chilly outside.

Overall rating: 8.45/10

Burger - Back to mustard fried for the last few burgers. This was actually a really good burger but the primary issue was lack of quality lettuce. It might have been one of the highest rated burgers if not for that. It still might be (maybe I should start keeping a record of the highest rated burger and fries individually). Presentation was nearly flawless and texture was great, minus the missing crunch of the lettuce. Only one tomato slice so no extra work needed.

Taste - 1.8 (out of 2)
Texture - 1.7 (out of 2)
Presentation - .9 (out of 1)

Fries - They came out looking like they would be a bit soggy but they were fairly good texture wise. Only a few of them ended up being soggy while most were firm but not quite crispy. Good level of salt as well. Nothing spectacular or noteworthy here, just normal high quality fries.

Taste - 1.7 (out of 2)
Texture - 1.55 (out of 2)

Diet Coke - .8 (out of 1)

Not a perfect tasting Diet Coke but it wasn't bad either. Not much to point out today, other than the fact that I think it's been nearly two months since the last original number.

Overall rating: Good

Well, I've set something of a new record. 13 days it took me to write this review. I kept remembering when I wasn't near my computer and actually forgot about it for the last week. Then I thought "I should go to In-N-Out tomorrow" and was like...whoops. So this will be short and sweet because I don't remember ALL the details.

Burger - What I do remember here was that I forgot to tell them mustard fried and am glad I did. I haven't had a plain cheeseburger in a while and I'll be sticking with it for at least a few weeks. Always good to go back to the classic.

Rating - Good and almost great.

Fries - The fries were a bit over done but the taste was good. Being a bit over cooked did give them that almost dry sort of texture.

Taste - Good but not great.

Diet Coke - If this were pass/fail then it would have gotten a pass.

Having a baby has made my memory go to crap, but hopefully I don't take more than a few days to post the next review after getting a new number. On that note, tomorrow I'm going to In-N-Out Burger!

Burger - Other than the atrocious presentation, there wasn't much bad to say about the burger. However, having to deconstruct the burger and rebuild it because of the horrible piece of lettuce was a real bummer. It also made this probably the messiest I've ever been when eating an In-N-Out Burger. I actually had to tear up this chunk of lettuce in order to have it on all of my burger. A bit of the bun was slightly too toasty as well.

Taste - 1.8 (out of 2)
Texture - 1.65 (out of 2)
Presentation - .4 (out of 1)

Fries - I would be fairly happy if In-N-Out Fries were always like this. They weren't perfect by any means, but they were good. Texture wise they were mostly on the positive side. A bit of crisp but nothing too crunchy (or soggy). A bit on the salty side at the bottom of the pile though.

Taste - 1.75 (out of 2)
Texture - 1.75 (out of 2)

Diet Coke - 1 (out of 1)

The drink gets a full point simple because I don't remember if it was perfect or not. And since 99% of the time the drink is perfectly fine, I'll assume that was the case here as well. Only interesting thing might be that I paid with a gift card from Christmas. I probably have paid with a gift card once or twice before though, so that might not be all that interesting.
